| 17 September: Keeping their doors open after-hours to encourage people to shop, Saks kicked off their national Key to the Cure initiative Wednesday night with a party for 10,000 in their Fifth Avenue store and a dinner for 500 in the Pool Room of the Four Seasons Restaurant. The lucky bunch who got to celebrate a little longer walked a few blocks up to the restaurant where an admirable group of celebrities and designers came to remember those they have lost to cancer. That group included Heidi Klum, T-Boz, Greg Louganis, Scott Foley, Alan Cumming, Tobey Maguire, Michael Kors, John Bartlett, Mark Badgley and James Mischka.

 15 September: The event was the annual 24-Hour Plays on Broadway benefit Monday night at the American Airlines theater. The showcase featured seasoned stagehands such as Margulies and Rosie Perez emoting in six quickie plays, all of which were written exactly 24 hours the night before the performance. Monday night at 8, it was showtime for Margulies, Alan Cumming, Sam Rockwell, Liev Schreiber and Perez, in full tough-gal mode. |
12 September: there will be hard partying tonight at the opening of the new Ferragamo flagship store on Fifth Avenue. With ten Ferragamo family members there to play host and the likes of Liv Tyler, Whoopi Goldberg, Iman, David Bowie, Karolina Kurkova, Bridget Hall and Alan Cumming on the host committee, the party, which is being held to benefit childrens' charity Free Arts NYC, is bound to be one to remember. |
10 September: Stefani's very put-together debut outfit did delay her arrival at the party though. The singer showed up 90 minutes into the event, which Heidi Klum, Alan Cumming, Helen Schifter, Rufus Wainwright, Anna Sui, Catherine Malandrino, Ann Jones, Hamish Bowles, Aerin Zinterhoffer, Charlotte Ronson, Rick and Kathy Hilton, Fern Mallis, Rena Sindi, Shoshanna Lonstein, Gilles and Kelly Bensimon, Fernanda Niven and Dennis Basso all attended. |
